Note: This guide covers planned mechanics for the Minecraft 1.21 update. All features, names, and designs are subject to change in the final release.

𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘇𝗲: 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗛𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗶

The Breeze is a new hostile mob coming in the 1.21 update. It looks similar to a Blaze but uses wind-based attacks. Breezes are grey with a small hurricane surrounding them. They float constantly, making them immune to fall damage and harder to fight in open areas. Their combat abilities are limited to ranged attacks, requiring players to get close to defeat them.

Breezes rely on the following attacks:

- Wind Charge: A powerful projectile that deals strong knockback and some damage.
- Wind Burst: If the original charge misses and hits a block, it becomes a wind burst, dealing knockback but no damage.
- Redstone Components: Breeze's wind attacks can activate Redstone components, like buttons, levers, and trapdoors, to trap players.

Breezes only spawn in the monster rooms of the Trial Chambers, unique underground structures with various challenges. Unlike other mobs, a Breeze doesn't spawn on its own; you must manually trigger it.

1. Find a Trial Chamber Room: Locate a room with a trial spawner block, which has skulls on all sides and glowing corners.
2. Identify the Spawner: Look for spawners surrounded by polished tuff and copper blocks.
3. Trigger Spawning: Get within a 16-block radius of the spawner to trigger it. A Breeze will appear within 10 seconds or less.

The Breeze is hostile toward players and Iron Golems but friendly to skeletons, strays, zombies, husks, spiders, cave spiders, and slimes. None of these mobs, nor Breeze, retaliate if they accidentally attack each other, making fighting Breeze challenging in their presence.

Breezes help improve combat skills and mainly deal knockback. Here's how to defeat them:

- Sword: Use a diamond sword to take advantage of Breeze's lack of melee attacks.
- Iron Golem: Make an Iron Golem to handle the Breeze, as it doesn't get knocked back by normal attacks.
- Potion of Healing: Keep a Potion of Healing handy for quick health restoration.
- Lever: Keep a lever or button to reactivate traps set by Breeze.
- Cobweb: Use cobwebs to slow down movement and reduce knockback, but this also hinders your movement.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘇𝗲?

The Breeze has some key weaknesses:

- Lava and Explosives: Place lava, use fire, or activate TNT to kill it quickly.
- Water and Sand: Trap them underwater or inside sand to cause quick death.
- Cobweb: Use cobwebs to counter its flight and trap the Breeze.

Breezes can deflect projectiles, such as arrows and tridents, sending them flying in random directions. Stick with melee weapons like axes.

Breeze can interact with the following Redstone components using its wind attacks:

- Doors (copper and wooden)
- Trapdoors (copper and wooden)
- Fence Gates
- Bells
- Lit Candles
- Levers
- Buttons
- Decorated Pots
- Chorus Flower
- Pointed Dripstone

If these blocks are getting a Redstone signal, the attack has no effect.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗗𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘇𝗲 𝗗𝗿𝗼𝗽?

If a player or a tamed wolf kills the Breeze, it drops 1-2 breeze rods and 5 experience points. Use these rods to craft Wind Charge and unlock the new weapon Mace.
